An introduction to the new 4* Park Inn Nevsky Hotel in St.Petersburg

St Petersburg's newest 4 star hotel has just been opened - on April, 23rd 2010! The Park Inn Nevsky is a modern 4 star hotel in a prime location on Nevsky Prospect right in the heart of the city. This purpose built hotel is a minute's walk from the Railway station and therefore very convenient for those who arrive from Moscow by train. There are 270 rooms, including so called business friendly rooms, and several elegant junior suites offering wonderful views over the roof tops. All rooms have flat screen TVs and high speed wireless Internet access and there are two modern conference rooms. The fitness centre is available free of charge for all the guests and the restaurant and bar offer Bavarian cuisine, freshly brewed beer and live music.

A day in the life of a Russian Soldier in St. Petersburg!

This is one of our most popular products and provides guests with an opportunity to see at first hand the life of the modern Russian soldier. On arrival at the barracks you will be greeted by the commanding officer who welcomes the group to the base. All guests are then issued with military uniform and given a short lecture about modern warfare with an opportunity to view some of the latest weaponry.

Afterwards the group is split into several teams to compete in:
  • Shooting from different kinds of guns (Makarov pistol, Naggan revolver) etc.
  • Throwing knives
  • Driving armoured personnel carriers (BRDM 2 and BTR)
  • First Aid procedures
  • Pitching army tents
  • Wrestling
The program ends with an announcement of the winning team and the presentation of an award.
The program ends with a lunch in a military field kitchen.

A cooking lesson with lunch or dinner in a Russian family home
This interesting programme takes guests through the entire process of producing some of Russia's most famous recipes.
The day will start with a visit to the local market to buy the right ingredients followed by a cooking lesson to create Russian borsch (beetroot soup), pelmeni (Siberian dumplings) as well as blini (pancakes). Afterwards you will have lunch or dinner (depending on programme)with a Russian Family which will of course include ample supplies of vodka! During the meal you will also learn about Russian traditions and Russian people.
Bon appetit!
