Moscow 2020 New Year celebration should be something that no one has ever seen before, especially when it comes to soaking in the lovely festive atmosphere of the Russian city of Moscow. New Years is the time when the city of Moscow is covered in snow, and that’s why city/country is often called ‘Winter Wonderland.’ People who are planning a trip to Moscow can be a part of the festive atmosphere and see the magnificent landscapes covered in the blanket of snow.

In Moscow there is a grand festival on Red Square prior New year Eve and the week after when the locals have traditional winter holidays: music performances, laser shows, contest games and quizzes for all festival guests.

There is no way people can enjoy Moscow New Year’s Eve without the breathtaking fireworks. New Year’s fireworks shows will take place at 30 venues. The best places to see it happening are- Red Square, Kremlin, and St. Basil’s Cathedral. Many Muscovites traditionally welcome the New Year on Red Square. The famous striking clock, the lights of the GUM and the sparkling skating rink create an unforgettable atmopshere!. At midnight, fireworks will be launched from Moskvoretskaya Street and people will see them above Red Square. At other venues, pyrotechnic shows will start at 1 am.

Over ten kinds of fireworks will illuminate the sky on New Year ’s Eve. There will be bouquets of colourful peonies and chrysanths, golden and silver waterfalls and waves, twinkling rings, palms and crowns.

New Year's Celebration in St Petersburg

St Petersburg The New Year’s Celebration at Palace Square and Nevsky prospect in the night December, 31 is going to start at 11:00 pm. The slogan of the four-hour long festivity is «The country congratulates you!».

The main scene will be located at the Palace square, additional scenes will be also set up at the Malaya Konyushennaya Street and beside the Great Gostiny Dvor.
The New Year’s eve celebration at the Palace square will consist of ice shows, performances by Russian and foreign pop stars and will finish with a spectacular firework.
Saint Petersburg residents and its guests will also see video shots from Russia’s most popular New Year movies, a laser show and a concert. Till 2:00 am there will be a party, people will see Ded Moroz /Father Frost and Snegurochka show, dance shows and a performance by popular artists. There will also be a Christmas tree roundelay, a famous New Year song being played at the background.
