Moscow – the capital and the largest city of Russia. Founded in 1147 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky, it grew from a small town on the banks of the Moskva River into a metropolis with a population over 12 million people.
More than eight centuries of dynamic history left many marks in this magnificent city. The heart of Moscow is the Kremlin, which is one of the most recognizable symbols of Russia. It is situated side by side with the Red Square which is crowned by the famous St. Basil's Cathedral. During the Soviet Era Moscow was the showpiece of Russia. As a result now it is a complex city with 15th century churches sitting next to modern office blocks, narrow crooked lanes and long broad avenues, rich museums and modern department stores. Moscow has its indefinable buzz which permeates through the city 24 hours a day making it both fascinating and exciting. There are innumerable restaurants, a wide range of hotels and a wealth of historically important monuments.
There are over a hundred museums, many theaters and other places to visit and admire. Moscow is constantly changing following the global tendencies. Staying for 3 days guests often wish they could stay longer. Moscow, with its unique face and spirit, will take a special place in your memory!
